Project Components:

A pool lanai structure with space for casual furniture and entertainment amenities.

Site:

A flat poolside terraced area located on a hilltop ridge property with views to the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands, uphill from the main house level.

The Design:

This simple, low profile pool lanai opens to the South sun and is tucked close to the rising ridge behind it, which gives protection during wind storms and acts as a heat sink in winter months. The Owners finished the columns with hand cut stone surrounds and a ceiling of grape stakes to instill the character of their Spanish Mediterranean style main house and the region’s agricultural heritage.
